Dr. Mia Abi Hayla, B.Eng., M.Sc., Ph.D. (Biomedical Engineering)
Mia earned her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Surrey in the United Kingdom, where her research focused on clinical applications and advancements in medical technology. She has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented her findings at international conferences, emphasizing innovative teaching methods and the application of biotechnology in healthcare.
With over a decade of experience in teaching and research, Mia has taught diverse subjects ranging from French, Calculus, Probability, and Statistics to Kinematics and Kinetics. She has held academic positions at esteemed institutions. As a SAT Math instructor affiliated with the US Embassy’s Amideast Center, Mia successfully coached over 1,000 students, helping them achieve substantial improvements in their SAT Math scores. Passionate about fostering student engagement and lifelong learning, Mia’s teaching philosophy centres on creating inclusive and dynamic learning environments.
